Sierra's friend Camille Grace Christiansen

Her is Sierra's little friend Camille Grace. Sierra and Camille our 6 weeks apart and just like their moms, these girls will grow together as friends. Camille lives in Denver, so as soon as Sierra gets a little older I believe Jenne and I will be buying plane tickets back and forth so these little girls can visit each other.

Here are a few photos that were taken on Johns birthday at the stone Brewery by a good friend of Johns Dad. We had a really nice time visiting with Dawn and enjoying a beautiful day at the Brewery, and of course enjoying great Beer.

Smiling, talking and first trip away from home...

Sierra is almost 6 weeks old, which people have told us that it is a magic age ( either she is now accustomed to the world, or we have more patience). As of last week we are seeing smiles and hearing new coo"s from little Sierra. We think she is talking to us, so of course we always respond to her.She has been very active on her play gym and her dad is still working on her pedaling ( getting her ready to ride a bike).
This past weekend we took her on her first trip away from home. We went up to Simi Valley to see cousin Morgan get commissioned. The trip went really well, and Sierra got to meet two of my favorite people, Brandy and Cindy who I grew up with in Simi Valley. Thanks to Nana for helping us out on our first adventure, and we look forward to many more.

I went back to work last week, so Sierra stayed home with Nana. Here are some pictures of Sierra and her first babysitter, Sierra smiling, Sierra in her dress she wore to the comissioning and Sierra in her I Love My Dads Bike shirt she wore on Johns birthday.

Approaching 5 weeks..........

We are one day shy of 5 weeks already. Sierra is growing like a weed. She was born at 7lbs 10oz and is closing in on 10 lbs now ( that has nothing to do with John and I feeding her all the time).
John and I are settling in to parenting a little better. We have found that the swing is a miracle sleep help. When in doubt, the swing will put Sierra to sleep.
This weekend Sierra and I are heading up to Simi Valley to see my cousin Morgan graduate from collage and be commissioned as an officer in the Marines. this will be Sierra first outing away from home and staying in a hotel. So for johns 34th birthday on Monday, we are giving him a full night of sleep.
I hope everyone is doing well. I have attached some pictures of Sierra with my dad, Sierra taking a shower (which she prefers over a bath), and Sierra just hanging out.
