Don't postpone your plans just yet......

Well, another doctors appointment and pretty much the same thing. Today was my 38.5 week appointment which went well. Today the doctor could officially put the tip of one finger through the cervix, which means I am barely 1cm dilated. Last week she could feel the babies head, but she could not get through the cervix. So on that note, I am progressing, but not to the point where I will be running to the hospital anytime in the next week or so.

There was a lot of talk today about an induction (inducing my labor sooner then later), but John and I have chosen to let this little peanut choose her own birthday. Since things have been going along so smoothly, we want to see it to the end. If for some reason she likes hotel Heather better then the outside world, the doctor will only let her extend her stay one week.

With that said, the longest I will be pregnant will be until April 11Th. But who knows, she can make an appearance anytime any place.

Everything else is great. Today I found out that my long time friend Brandy and her husband Rudy are expected a GIRL in August. I am so excited, Peanut will have so many good friends to grow up with, just like I have had. Congratulations Rudolph's.

Stay tuned for pictures of the nursery, which I will post this weekend. My cousin Corey will be putting them up this Saturday.

Sorry for taking so long to post the belly.

Well as the time draws near, taking photos is not really a priority for me. I am really excited, but taking pictures of myself getting bigger, seems a little backwards. Here is a photo of me at 38 weeks. The other photos are of my dad and Brady at 19 months, as well as Cory and Brady. I will post pictures of the nursery tomorrow. My cousin Corey has made the babies curtains, which she is hanging tomorrow. Stay tuned.

38 weeks and no sign of labor.....

Another week, another doctors appointment and no sign of labor as of yet. I do have 2 weeks until peanuts due date, but I thought maybe she would want to come a little early to meet all of you.

I went to my 38 week appointment yesterday ( I go every week now), and once again I weighed in, gave a urine sample, and received a very fun internal exam. Nothing to exciting to report. My doctor did not believe there would be any action this weekend, which is OK, she is actually not on call this weekend, but next week I will go see her again and let you know the news.

Everything else is going great. John and I have been laying pretty low the past week. I am still walking and lifting weights, but not as vigorous as before. I still have not experience the last energy burst that people say you have, but I pretty much have everything ready to go.
I will keep you updated, and later today I will post the latest pictures of my belly.
Stay tuned............

36.5 weeks... That means less then 4 to go

Today was another doctors appointment, which went great. These last few appointments include a scale, a urine sample and a female check to see if there is any sign of dilation. How fun does that sound? All three were fine. Unfortunately there is no sign of dilation yet. The doc says she doesn't believe labor is in this weeks forecast.

Not much else exciting. I have surely slowed down the past week. I do pretty good in the morning, but come afternoon, I am pretty much tired and lazy. I am not sure I believe in the last minute energy surge, they say you have before labor, unless they really mean right before labor (one day beforehand). In that case, I think were looking at at least another 2-3 weeks to go.

My next appointment is Thursday. I will be considered full term, so stay tuned to see what little peanut is up to.

35.5 weeks along

Well today is March 4th, exactly one month away from Peanuts due date, and after today's doctors appointment, I think she will be arriving pretty close to that date.
The doctors appointment went great. Today started the every week appointments which includes a female exam to see how close it will be until the little girl starts coming out. Well today she is pretty much enjoying her stay inside my belly. The doctor checks the cervix to see if it is soft, which it is, and she also checks to see if there is any start to an opening for the baby to come on out, which there is not as of now. The good news is, she is not ready to come out yet (which is still pretty early), but I think she is going to make sure April 4th is a good date to arrive, and pretty much no earlier. The doctor did say that her head is still in the exit position.
Really good news is, that all the exercise I have been doing for the past lifetime and especially the past 8 months has really helped me. The doctors has informed me that she believes that I am a pretty comfortable pregnant lady do to all the activity I have been doing. So if I can recommend anything to anyone wanting to get pregnant, "Make sure you exercise".
Stay tuned for every week updates as we get closer and closer to Parenthood.

34 weeks....

Here is a picture of me at 34 weeks. I know this week should be the photo of me at 35 ( since I am 35 weeks now), but I am a little behind. John and I are fighting colds, so since my belly is already swollen, I thought I would wait to take a picture where my nose is not swollen.

I am feeling great. Yesterday I hiked with my mom and dad for over an hour, then came home and washed all the baby blankets, sheets, burp cloths and some clothes.

I am pretty much ready when she is.

John is doing well. I think we are both a little nervous, but pretty much ready.

Hope everyone is doing well.
